Celebrating DIVERSITY and INCLUSIVITY at the EMSB  (2021-22)

The English Montreal School Board unveiled “Celebrating Diversity and Inclusivity at the EMSB” from January 21 to January 28. The special six-day event kicked off Elementary and Kindergarten Registration Week, January 31 to February 4.

Among the morning’s festivities was a “human library,” formed by local authors and media figures.  Symbolically these specially selected “open book” guests answered questions, from students, based on their personal and professional experience as children’s book authors and illustrators, playwrights and journalists.

PHYSICAL LITERACY (2018-19)

An apple – and 60 minutes – a day

The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) now counts 15 elementary schools which have opted to participate in a Quebec government health initiative called À l'école, on bouge! The objective it is to transform school culture toward an active one, specifically by ensuring students are provided with the opportunity to accumulate at least 60 minutes of physical activity during each school day.
