Welcome to Back to LDVA 2023-2024

Dear Parents/Guardians of LDVA Students,

We are actively preparing for the new school year which will begin on August 30, 2023.

Please take note of the following points as you plan and prepare for your child’s start to school in order to allow for a smooth transition.

• LDVA’s school hours for the 2023-2024 school year are: call-in bell will be at 8:50 a.m. and dismissal for students will be at 3:45 p.m.
• The first day of school for grades 1 to 6 is August 30^th and it is a full day, with daycare services available as of 7:00 a.m. in the morning and until 6:00 p.m. in the evening.
• Students in Kindergarten/K5 to grade 6 will be following a 5-day schedule of Monday to Friday. One day will be in English and the next will be in French with a switch day on Fridays.
• Pre-Kindergarten/K4 students will not be switching teachers from one day English and one day French.
• School supplies can be ordered via School Tools and uniform orders from Foot Zone must be picked up at the store.
• Grade 1 students are to wear their yellow t-shirt received at their moving on ceremony!

**The progressive entry for students starting Pre-Kindergarten/K4 & Kindergarten/K5 will be as follows:

• August 30 Full day for students whose family name starts with the letters A to L (PRE-K/K4) letters A to L (KDG/K5)
  (Without parents but with 2 snacks to eat and a full lunch)
  Bring in school supplies
  NO BUS SERVICE TODAY for Pre-Kindergarten/K4 & Kindergarten/K5 students only BUT FULL DAYCARE SERVICES FOR THOSE STUDENTS ATTENDING!
• August 31 Full day students whose family name starts with the letters M to Z (PRE-K/K4) letters M to Z (KDG/K5)
  (Without parents but with 2 snacks to eat and a full lunch)
  Bring in school supplies
  NO BUS SERVICE TODAY for Kindergarten/K5 students only BUT FULL DAYCARE SERVICES FOR THOSE STUDENTS ATTENDING!
• September 1 All Pre-Kindergarten/K4 and Kindergarten/K5 students come to school all day!
  (Please provide a full lunch with 2 snacks for the students)
  FULL BUS SERVICE AND FULL DAYCARE SERVICES FOR ALL STUDENTS!
