Laurenhill Teachers Set to Experience Unique Professional Development

Montreal - Thursday, August 24, 2017

Luca will guide teachers through a workshop in which they will be given everyday tasks to perform without the full use of their bodies. Some of the activities will require teachers to be blindfolded to simulate visual impairment, use crutches or a wheelchair to simulate the lack of mobility and/or have one arm tied behind their back to simulate limited/no use of one arm.

Ultimately, the goal is to bring this unique learning experience to their students as a subtle way to transform student attitudes, behaviours and perceptions, including adaptation techniques to bullying and anxiety.
